Hi, I’m Penny Flows...
My journey to music has been anything but conventional. After years in New York’s design world, a life-changing accident, and a spiritual awakening, I realized I was living someone else’s story. I needed to step away and find my own voice.
In Costa Rica, during a period of solitude and reflection, I picked up a ukulele and began writing the songs that now form the heart of my music. Through this process, I discovered that self-expression is not just a creative outlet — it’s a path to deep healing. I gradually let go of perfectionism, self-doubt, and external expectations, using design thinking to literally redesign my life. From singing in the shower to booking my own gigs and releasing music independently, I learned to trust my voice and embrace the journey.
My music blends indie folk and pop into atmospheric, heartfelt songs, drawing inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell, Tina Dico, and Alanis Morissette. On stage, I blend storytelling with presence, whether performing solo, as a duo, or with a full band. Each show is an invitation into a world where time slows, emotions surface, and music lingers long after the last note.
Through this journey and the songs I create, I offer experiences that heal, inspire, and connect, turning vulnerability into shared strength and honesty into art.

‘About Time’ was a turning point for me. In the past, I lost myself in unhealthy relationships because I didn’t feel worthy, and instead, I became silent. Writing this song helped me process those experiences, reclaim my voice, and begin to love all aspects of who I am.

ABOUT TIME
Let’s build a blanket fort and
Let our inner child loose
Explore each others worlds
Like grownups would never do
Show me your sanctuary
And I’ll show you mine
When we make love
We become divine
NEW LIGHT ON MEMORY LANE
New light on Memory Lane
Rewriting the story once again
New light on Memory Lane
Keep the good ones
Allow the rest to fade
LETTING GO
Why are we so scared
of falling in love again
even if it could be
a different ending
is this the end
or the beginning
the beginning of
you and me
THE REASON
There’s a reason for this change
Could it be that we’ll embrace
What it means to be a human after all
You are not strange or insane
We are all one and the same
Realize that humans mess up
And they fall
TO THE MOON
I might be slightly crazy,
And also a dreamer
but just like Lennon said
He wasn’t the only one
And even if I’m crazy
At least I am human
I’m not afraid of failing
So judge me if you care
