The Reason

I used to think that
The whole world was against me
Now I know it was
all inside of me 

I used to blame
every single one around me
For my pain and the
freaking misery 

There’s a reason for this change
Could it be that we’ll embrace
What it means to be a human after all
You are not strange or insane
We are all one and the same
Realize that humans mess up
And they fall 

Now I know that
in order to see clearer
It ain’t enough
to look yourself in the mirror
You have to go beyond
the surface and reflections
To look inside and
face those demons in the eyes

Pick up the pieces and take a look inside
Cause there is a space for you to feel alive
To feel alive
